Owner and director, Gabby Sorano, has been working with children for over 20 years. She began her journey working as a babysitter and nanny. Throughout high school and seasonally though college, she spent her summers and breaks working at Wausau Child Care. Gabby received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Elementary Education where she held part-time jobs at the UWEC Child Care Center and the Grace Lutheran Foundation Child Care Centers. She also holds a Daycare Owner’s Certification from IAP Career College and Administration course. She was born and raised in Wausau and relocated to Antigo after meeting her husband, Jordan. Previous to opening Antigo Child Care Center, she taught second grade at Birnamwood Elementary School for nine years. Gabby and Jordan have two children of their own, Kate and Graham. Inspired by a need in our community and the joy of watching children grow and learn, she decided it was time to fulfill her dream of opening a daycare center.
